Biomedical Engineer (Workshop/Field Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Medical Device Engineer for a global leading service provider. This role will be based onsite in their Essex workshop and will also involve some occassional travel to sites to train engineers. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Decontamination, inspection, repair, calibration, and reintegration of Medical Devices working from the Essex workshop
• Undertaking OEM training on the medical devices to then deliver the training to the field based engineers both remotely and onsite
• Liaise with both customers and internal teams to coordinate with hospitals, clinical users, and logistics teams to optimise equipment flow
• Be approachable and confident when handling technical support calls, while also providing clear, supportive assistance to the wider team

Essential Experience

• Three years’ work experience in the medical device or life sciences industries is preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.

Desirable Experience 

• HNC in Electrical Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Qualification in Engineering, electronics or medical technologies such as biomedical engineering.c
