Bid Manager

Responsibilities –

  1. Lead the development of bids and proposals for strategic fleet customer deals.
  2. Collaborate with sales, delivery (engineering), and product teams to craft technical solutions that align with customer requirements.
  3. Communicate complex concepts, technical systems, and solutions in clear, simple terms to a variety of stakeholders, including non-technical customers and partners.
  4. Ensure bid accuracy, completeness, and compliance with customer needs and internal policies.
  5. Create compelling visuals/graphics to support the communication of engineering options, solutions to problems, and benefits of the company’s proposed solutions.
  6. Analyse customer RFPs and develop creative, tailored solutions that showcase our technical and service capabilities.
  7. Maintain a thorough understanding of our software and infrastructure services, staying current with industry trends.
  8. Write, review, and refine bid documents, ensuring clarity, impact, and alignment with customer objectives.
  9. Manage multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  10. Support continuous improvement initiatives in bid management and solution development processes.
  11. Negotiate and present proposals to fully meet the customer’s needs at maximum profit levels to for the business.
  12. Coordinate, manage, and be accountable for implementing Bid Governance Framework throughout the sales and development journey.

Qualifications –

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in bid development, technical solutions, or sales engineering, particularly in software and infrastructure servicing.
  3. Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  4. Excellent writing and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to simplify complex ideas.
  5. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Team player with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

  1. Experience working with fleet management or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  2. Familiarity with cloud-based solutions, IoT, or related technologies.
  3. Passionate about working in a fast moving, changing environment and copes with change, and handles risk and uncertainty.
  4. Demonstrates Business Acumen – Understands how the business works, knows the customer and the competition.
  5. Acts with customers in mind; comes up with creative, innovative ideas.
  6. Acts as a team player; encourages collaboration; shares wins and successes; creates a feeling of belonging
